Q. How may I receive a complimentary lists of ceremony & reception site suggestions?
A. Upon request.
 

Q. May we pick a different location after we arrive?
A. When booked to conduct the ceremony, upon request, couples will be provided with a list of beach location if they prefer to go on a scouting our mission.

Q. May we plan our wedding ourselves?
A. To help couples save money and time, our goal is to empower our couples to plan their own wedding. We offer wedding & reception packages, locations guidance and referrals to related services. 

Q. Can someone do all the work and worry for us? 
A. We will refer you to a wonderful & Certified Professional Coordinator. Upon receipt of our additional materials, let us know if you would like someone to contact you to discuss services and fees.

Q. How do we choose a beach location?

Q. What beach area restrictions are there? 
A. For groups over 50 ct., beach permits & fees may be required. Wedding Ceremony Restrictions may apply to some hotels and public beaches.
For Sand Key Park, Clearwater Beach & Ft. DeSoto Park, near St. Pete Beach: www.pinellascounty.org/park for details & fees. Ask us for our list of Public Beach options please.

Q. What other times of day may we get married?
A. Besides the most popular ceremonies one hour prior to sunset, quietly intimate and romantic sunrise ceremonies are available and take place over a Bay Beach, near the Gulf of Mexico. Other daytime slots are suggested during the winter & fall months. Candlelight ceremonies are available also.

Q. How do I keep all this information organized?
A. We recommend you purchase a 3 ring binder, three hole punch and dividers. Split your planning into sections: Such as: Wedding Ceremony; Accomodations; Reception. This tool will help you to "compartmentalize" the various details of your celebration while avoiding overwhelm. 

Q. How do we get a marriage license in Florida?
A. Couples must apply together and in person at a Florida courthouse , bring their photo I.D.’s & Social Security Cards. It will take approximately 35 minutes to do so. and the license is accepted anywhere in the world. Q. Is a Florida Marriage License Legal in any state or country?
A. Yes.  Please note:  Germany requires an Apostle.

Q. Can we get married the same day?
A. Yes, if you’re from out-of-state; no witnesses, blood test or wait period are required. Florida residents must wait three days to get married after applying. Although 2 to 3 weeks prior reservation is preferred, Weddings On a Whim is most often available when you are ready to book "on a whim." For larger weddings and to guarantee the availability of our settings, 2 to 3 months is suggested (based on the time of year).

Q. Can you book us a professional photographer?
A. We offer an amazing Team of Professionals. You may view their great works at Scrapbook. Photographer service includes the ceremony portion, group shots, individual, romantic, spontaneous and posed shots. Photographers are booked for you by WoW, and then paid separately by you.

Q. How can I find additional services, such as florist, videographer, entertainer, etc.?
A. A list of wedding professionals, whose reputation and service are exemplary, will be sent upon booking.

Q. Where do we celebrate after the wedding?
A. We offer several reception options.  Our most popular are:  The reception boats.  In addition lists of hotels, banquet halls and restaurants are available upon request.

Q. Do we receive a choice of ceremonies?
A. You may craft a ceremony that reflects your personalities and how you feel about one another. Together we will share a ritual that supports your journey and proclaims and celebrates it. We provide choices of ceremonies, readings and exercises that provide the opportunity for perfect expressions.
 
 Personal vows are encouraged, either by writing original vows or by using our choices.

Q. How long does the ceremony last?
A. Your customized ceremony can be as short or as long as you like. Average: 30 minutes, including walking onto the beach.

Q. How do we book?
A. When you know the date and time, contact us by email or phone please with your ceremony details. A Confirmation Agreement will be emailed to you within three days.  A 50% deposit/retainer will be requested within two weeks.

Q. When should I rent a Public Address System from WoW?
A. For groups of 30 or more, a system with speaker & microphone are suggested so that everyone may hear the ceremony. As an added benefit, our Ceremony Host will greet your guests as they arrive and play your your choice of heartfelt (cd) ceremony music. The system is portable, so it can be used on remote public beaches without requiring electricity.

Q. What happens in case of rain or bad weather?
A. We strongly suggest your reception location substitute as the rainy day backup. Upon booking, additional suggestions and guidance are available.

Q. Do we need to meet you in person? 
A. As a convenience to you, we have designed our website to make in person meetings unnecessary. You may “meet” our Officiants/Ministers at Officiants.

 We personally recruit all our Officiants/Ministers who are “incurable romantics”
with eloquent speaking ability. See their hundreds of testimonials at

 An Officiant is assigned at the time of booking and he/she phones their couples then. Upon request prior to booking, Officiants are available for a telephone meeting.

 Once couples have paid a retainer, and returned their Wedding Day Checklist, the Officiant will be in contact with them by email and phone to go over ceremony details.

Q. Do we need a rehearsal?
A. Due to the simple, well-defined and casual nature of our weddings (coupled with our guidance via The Wedding Day Guidelines & Checklist, discussed thoroughly over the telephone), most couples do not feel the need for a rehearsal. For those with larger groups who prefer their Officiant facilitate a rehearsal, their Officiant is available for a $150.00 fee. 

Q. Are gratuities included?
A. Gratuities are left to the discretion of the client.
